I am a Children's Photographer.
Wow. I never thought I'd be able to say that!
I've had the shutterbug for years now and when I had my own kids that bug grew into a full-blown obsession. My husband called me "The Paparazzi." I stalked portrait studios for good deals and cute opportunities and took my boys in for every. single. one. Unfortunately, I usually didn't get the results I was hoping for. Instead I ended up with forced smiles, lots of tears, and a completely exhausted mommy.
That's when I decided to start my own photography business.
People should have beautiful pictures of their children - And lots of them! These times are fleeting. We're going to blink and our kids will be all grown up. What's more - The experience should be fun.
On a typical shoot, I follow a child around a selected location (park, backyard, family farm), visit with them, and learn about their passions and dreams. In the end, you end up with some amazing, candid, unposed shots of your child that showcases their true inner beauty and personality. Outgoing or shy, future rocket scientist or ballerina - These are the things I hope to capture. There is nothing better than to look at a picture and hear, "Wow. You really captured the essence of my child."
